The mental suffering that we long to get rid of contains true gold. We can find this treasure to the degree that we can learn to relate to our pain differently.

The roadblocks and challenges we all long to avoid often contain hidden gold. We can find this valuable treasure when we learn to relate to our pain differently. A large part of my work is to help my clients do this…to release unnecessary suffering and to learn to meet the difficulties they cannot change. This brings an increased capacity for happiness. I help my clients release the need for perfection and move instead towards completeness – holding both the joy and sorrow of life. When we learn to hold our ‘broken’ places with compassion, we feel more healthy and whole.

I enjoy working with a wide range of individuals – adults, emerging adults, couples, and children. My areas of expertise include:

  • Couples Therapy and Pre-Marital Counseling
  • Parenting
  • Co-Parenting after Divorce
  • Grief and Loss
  • Life Transitions
  • LGBT Issues
  • Creative Blocks
  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Clinical Consultation
